Jeff Lewis represents individuals and businesses in complex litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels. His representative clients include hospitals, hotels, real estate developers, lending institutions, manufacturers, general contractors and other businesses.
Mr. Lewis is also a certified appellate specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. California attorneys who are certified as specialists have taken and passed a written examination in their specialty field, demonstrated a high level of experience in the specialty field, fulfilled ongoing education requirements and have been favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with their work. Presently, only 277 attorneys in California are certified appellate specialists.
Mr. Lewis’ representative defense victories include an arbitration award on behalf of sellers of manufacturing businesses sued for fraud and breach of contract; summary judgment on behalf of a hotel operator sued for specific performance of a real property purchase agreement; a judgment on behalf of an entertainment/media industry client sued for conversion and unfair competition.
Mr. Lewis’ representative plaintiff victories include a unanimous jury award against a corporate president for misuse of corporate funds; summary judgment in a malicious prosecution action against a former opposing attorney and his clients; and a bench judgment, including treble damages, in favor of a landowner for a neighbor’s trespass.
Mr. Lewis attended University of California, Santa Barbara, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics in 1992. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 1996.
Mr. Lewis has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1996, and is admitted to practice before the California and U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California, the Eastern District of Michigan as well as the United States Court of Appeal, Ninth and Sixth Circuits. Mr. Lewis is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Lewis is a member of the Orange County and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. Mr. Lewis is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association Mandatory Fee Arbitration Committee as well as the California Appellate Defense Counsel. Mr. Lewis also serves as an arbitrator for QDR Services.

Jeff is married and lives in Rancho Palos Verdes. He, his wife and three young children have a passion for adventure and frequently travel to Yosemite, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. Most weekends they can be found hiking, running, attending soccer games or geocaching. Jeff is an avid photographer, annually attends Comic-Con and is actively involved in the civic affairs of the city of Rancho Palos Verdes. Jeff is a past member of the city’s traffic and safety commission, served on the Rancho Palos Verdes Planning Commission between 2006 and 2014 and is the former president of RPV’s Council of Homeowners Associations (CHOA).
